The following is a sampling of the original documents & sources that were used in the research & aggregation of THE ANCIENT BOOK OF HIP. PABST BLUE RIBBON

This brewery, which was established in 1844 in Milwaukee, had a revival as a brand & lifestyle drink that parelleled the phenomenon of hip. In 2001, the beer had record low sales after major expansions. When Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) was embraced by the phenomenon of hip as not only the drink of choice but as part of the lifestyle, the beer gained in sales & cache.
A typical example of the centeredness of this drink in hip was found in a case study by DWL where the subject, who lived in an apartment with half a dozen roommates, claimed that it was a 'house policy to always have a case of PBR in the fridge.'
